Parking project underway at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.
Plans for more parking at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove are moving forward, bringing additional parking near the shops and restaurants once completed.
“We’re always
looking for ways to improve the experience for our customers,” Marketing
Director of The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes Jennie Zafft said. “This project opens
up 106 angled parking spots directly in front of our retailers, giving shoppers
better access to their favorite stores at The Shoppes.”
Reducing the width of sidewalks, relocating sidewalk light
poles and planters, resurfacing the drive lanes and installing angled parking
spaces are all part of the project plans.
The project is divided into
three phases. Construction for the first phase of the project began earlier this month. Each phase is estimated to
take three weeks, weather permitting, according to The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. The
affected streets within each phase will be closed to vehicle traffic, but
sidewalks will be open to foot traffic.
The Shoppes remain open under the remodel and new parking
layout.
Construction is set to be completed by late fall.
