Maple Grove Defense Dominates in 28-6 Win Over Eastview

Recap: Maple Grove Senior High School dominated the Eastview High School Lightning in their 28-6 opening round of the 2015 playoffs Friday, Oct. 16. The formula that propelled the Crimson to the number two overall seed proved to work once again as running backs Isaac Collins and Ryan Handscome ran for three touchdowns and the defense didn’t allow the Lightning past midfield until the fourth quarter, and into the endzone until the Crimson starters were on the sidelines.

Key Moment: Following an Isaac Collins fumble, the Crimson Defense forced one of their own on the next play. Two plays later Collins scored his second touchdown of the game giving the Crimson a 21-0 lead.

Key Player: Crimson defense. The strength of the team didn’t allow the Lightning inside their territory until the fourth quarter.
