The Maple Grove Community Organization, Arbor Lakes Business Association, and other Maple Grove businesses are getting ready for the holiday season as they plan the annual Hometown Holiday on Main Street and Sleigh Bells & Sparkle Parade on Dec. 5.

Businesses and organizations interested in becoming involved in the parade are encouraged to visit the Maple Grove Community Organization website at  for parade information and application.

Maple Grove’s Hometown Holiday begins Saturday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. and continues through 7 p.m. The event on Main Street includes a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, music, treats, contests, carriage rides, and more. The parade begins at 5 p.m. as parade units light up Main Street, starting at the corner of Schuler Shoes/Chico’s, continuing around the corner on Arbor Lakes Parkway and finishing at the Government Center parking lot entrance.

The parade concludes with Santa Claus as he lights up the community holiday tree, “signifying the start of a wonderful holiday season in Maple Grove,” the Maple Grove Community Organization stated in a press release.
