Osseo Girls Lose at the Buzzer to St. Michael-Albertville

The Osseo Senior High School Orioles girls basketball team lost to St. Michael-Albertville High School 62-60 on a last second basket by the Knights Rae Johnson Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The Orioles (1-2) led by two at the half and were paced by Kiara Russell’s 32 points including 20 in the first half. Mikayla Homola added 13 points while Azaria Reed added 10 for Osseo. Johnson led the way for St. Michael-Albertville with 21 points. Sydney Tracy added 16 for the Knights.

Player of the Game:
Russell was dominant on the offensive end, scoring from the perimeter as well as getting to the basket. The senior is averaging 26 points per game in three contests for the Orioles.

Up Next:
The Orioles take part in the 
Breakdown Tip Off Classic on Saturday and will face Eden Prairie at 9:30 a.m. at Lindburgh Center in Hopkins.
