Turkey Painting, Theft: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

A synopsis of some incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department for the week of Nov. 27 through Dec. 3, 2015.

Nov. 27

  • 7900 block of Shadyview Lane. Report of garage door being spray painted; on arrival officers saw a turkey painted on door. No suspects at this time.

Nov. 28

  • Maple Knoll Way & Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of persons in taxi bailing from vehicle and running without pay fare; on arrival officers would footprints but did not locate suspects.
  • 6700 block of Vicksburg Lane. Report of vehicle being damaged overnight; on arrival vehicle looked like it had been damaged with a bat, numerous window broken and lots of dents. No suspects at this time.

Nov. 29

  • 12000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of five juvenile males going through vehicles in parking lot and when confronted by witness took off running; all five were located and identified. Two were cited for theft and motor vehicle tampering and all released to parents.
  • 6400 block of Ranchview Lane. Report of doors of residence and vehicle in garage open upon returning home.

Nov. 30

  • 10000 block of 104th Avenue. Report of an unresponsive male having trouble breathing; on arrival found person in closet in bedroom.  When moving person with paramedics saw signs of stroke. Transported to hospital. 
  • 8200 block of Yuma Court. Report of someone spray painting a swastika on garage door; no evidence or suspects.
  • 9300 block of Peony Lane. Report of someone painting a turkey on garage door; no suspects at this time.
  • 13000 block of Grove Drive. Report of person falling and possibly breaking hip or leg; on arrival person lying in snow in severe pain.  Assisted in getting person on stretcher for transport.

Dec. 1

  • 13000 block of Grove Drive. Report of person taking items from store and leaving without paying; on arrival person was issued a court date released from the scene.  Stolen items returned to store. 
  • 12000 block of 62nd Place. Report of purse stolen from unlocked vehicle in parking lot; no suspects or surveillance video. 

Dec. 2

  • 17000 block of 72nd Avenue. Report of person falling and breaking their leg; on arrival person conscious and alert and transported to hospital by ambulance. 

Dec. 3

  • 8200 block of Jonquil Lane. Report of several ladders stolen from construction site; no suspects at this time.
  • 12000 Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of persons in a vehicle pointing a gun at a vehicle and shooting.  From the sound might be a BB gun and window did not brake; officers searched area for vehicle but could not locate it.
  • 7300 block of Vinewood Court. Items stolen from unlocked vehicle in driveway overnight; no suspects at this time.

During this time period there were 42 property damage traffic accidents and eight property damage injury traffic accidents.
