It’s been three years since Daily Dose Cafe and Espresso moved into the Maple Grove community.
Since then, a lot has changed…and a lot has stayed the same.
“We’re still moving forward,” Daily Dose co-owner Curt Medina said, stating they still have the same principles as when they opened the doors – “good coffee, good food.”
They’ve heard “nice comments” about the food and beverages from patrons since opening their doors three years ago, Medina said. “People are glad to have an independent coffee shop and café in the neighborhood.”
Located at 15517 Grove Circle North in Maple Grove, owners Ben Havn and Curt Medina opened Daily Dose during a time when many of the storefronts around them remained vacant following the recession. In the last three years, the growth The Grove business area has filled some of the nearby vacancies. For Daily Dose, growth has included a second location at the new Park Nicollet outpatient facility, just down the road at 15800 95th Avenue North. Their newest site opened in October 2015 and the menu features “grab and go” foods, such as deli sandwiches and salads, fresh baked goods, and coffees.
Three years has also brought a few changes at their flagship store, including the addition of beer and wine to the menu last winter adding to their selection of hot Panini, deli sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods along with a wide array of hot and cold beverages.
When not at the stores, you may see Daily Dose participating in various local events, such as the Maple Grove Farmers Market.
“It has been nice to be so involved in the community and really get to know the regulars,” Medina said. Daily Dose continues to “evolve and grow” he said. “Stay tuned, there is more to come!”
