Updated: One Fatality Following Vehicle Incident on Westbound I-94 Near Rogers, Maple Grove

Law enforcement officials are investigating a fatal accident that occurred around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10 on westbound I-94 near County Road 81 near the Rogers/Maple Grove border, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The incident involved one vehicle and resulted in one fatality, according to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report as of 2:30 p.m. which stated a “tractor-trailer was west on Interstate 94 went off road and started on fire.”
The name of the driver has not yet been released, pending identification.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Rogers Police Department are assisting in Minnesota State Patrol with the incident investigation.
Commuting delays are anticipated during the afternoon as the portions of the roadway/shoulder continue to be blocked.
Updated 11 a.m. Feb. 12: The vehicle, 2015 freightliner truck, was traveling west on I-94 and pulling a Wisconsin registered trailer which was "loaded with fiberglass insulation," according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Updated noon Feb. 12: The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Edward A. Riske, 65, of Marion, WI, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
