Sports Schedules: Crimson Boys Hockey Aims for State

Maple Grove Senior High - The Crimson knocked off Blaine in the semifinals and punched their ticket to the Section 5AA championship game against Anoka High School 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Aldrich Ice Arena. The Tornadoes and Crimson split their two meetings during the regular season.

Boys Basketball 

Maple Grove - The Crimson earned the top seed in the Section 8AAAA tournament. They will play host to the Moorhead Spuds in the 
section quarterfinals 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23. The semifinals will take place Saturday, Feb. 27 at St. Cloud State University. The championship game is Thursday, March 3.

Osseo Senior High - The Orioles are the top seed in section 5AAAA and will host Roseville High School 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25. The semifinals are Monday, Feb. 29 and the championship is Friday, March 4 at Rogers High School.

Heritage Christian - The Eagles picked up the third seed in the Section 4A tournament. They will host the winner of the Calvin Christian and St. Paul Prep game. The second round is slated for Saturday, Feb. 27.

Girls Basketball 

Maple Grove - The Crimson have won eight of their last nine games including a one point thriller Friday, Feb. 19 against Osseo. Maple Grove wraps up the regular season with a pair of big conference games. Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 5:30 p.m. they host the Elk River Elks. Thursday, Feb. 25 they travel to Andover to face the Huskies.

Osseo - The Orioles close the season with a pair of road games. Tuesday, Feb. 23 they travel to Blaine and Friday, Feb. 26, they face Centennial. Osseo is riding a three game losing streak and looks to regain momentum as they head into the postseason.

Heritage Christian -The Eagles finish up the regular season with a pair of home games. Monday, Feb.22, they face Christian Life Academy. At home, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26 they take on St. Croix Lutheran.
