2016 Senate District 34 MN Caucus Results

Caucus participants in Senate District 34 (Maple Grove, Osseo, Dayton, and Rogers) reportedly turned out in record numbers on March 1, which included straw poll voting for the U.S. President.

The Senate District 34 preference (straw poll) results, according to unofficial results on the Minnesota Secretary of State website, are as follows:

Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Results  

  • Bernie Sanders 1,104     
  • Hillary Clinton 960           
  • Uncommitted 9               
  • Other 7
  • Martin O’Malley  2
  • Rocque De La Fuente 0 

Republican Party Results

  • Marco Rubio 1,143
  • Ted Cruz 751
  • Donald Trump 421
  • John Kasich 106
  • Dr. Ben Carson 83
  • Write in 5

Statewide in Minnesota, according to the unofficial results on the Minnesota Secretary of State website, the straw poll results mirrored those in Senate District 34.
