Maple Grove Parkway Closes April 4

Updated April 4, 2016 - Starting early Monday, April 4, Maple Grove Parkway is scheduled to close for construction of the new interchange at Maple Grove Parkway and new alignment of Highway 610, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The closure is anticipated to continue through end of October 2016.
Impacts of the closure, according to MnDOT:
- The parkway will be closed between County Road 81 and 99th Avenue North
- Traffic can reach businesses on 105th Avenue, south of County Road 81 as well as traffic north of 99th Avenue and west of Maple Grove Parkway
- Detours follow County Road 81, Fernbrook Lane North, and 99th Avenue North.
- County Road 81 will have occasional temporarily lane closures during the Highway 610 project.

March 15, 2016 - The Highway 610 project includes construction of a 2.5 mile roadway connecting I-94 in Maple Grove to Highway 169 in Brooklyn Park. Highway 610 is estimated to be open and connected to I-94 in the fall of 2016.
The 2016 construction season isn’t anticipated to have “major” impacts on I-94 traffics, according to the city of Maple Grove website, however, there might be traffic shifts and non-rush hour lane closures.
Other roadways impacted by construction travelers should be aware of, as shared by the city of Maple Grove:
County Road 81
During the spring, construction is anticipated on the Highway 610 bridge over County Road 81. Impacts may include traffic lane shifts and closures.
Maple Grove Parkway
Closed on April 4 between 105th Avenue and the new yard waste site entrance to 99th Avenue.
The detour will be on 99th
Avenue and Fernbrook Lane. North of the closure, Maple Grove Parkway will be
available on County Road 81 and 105th Avenue and the new yard waste
site entrance. On the south side, access will be available to the east Target
driveway. It is anticipated the 105th Avenue bridge will be opening
in late spring to the public.
Maple Grove Parkway is anticipated to
reopen in fall 2016, according to the Minnesota
Department of Transportation.
