2016 Egg Hunts, Spring Activities in Maple Grove

Throughout Maple Grove, several organizations are hosting egg hunts and spring activities from March 24 through March 27. Do you have an egg hunt or spring activity to add? Share it on the calendar here:

Eggstravaganza at Eastman Nature Center

What: Play games, see live bunnies, and get egg-citing treats. Bring hard-boiled eggs to dye naturally. Search for eggs, go on a scavenger hunt, and meet a giant rabbit. Get your face painted with a bunny nose and whiskers. Drop in any time before 1 p.m.

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p .m. Thursday, March 24 and Friday, March 25 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Where: Eastman Nature Center in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove/ Dayton

Cost: $5 per person who is preregistered and $6 per person the day of the event. Children under 2 are admitted free. To preregister call 763-559-6700.

Spring Celebration at The Woods

What: The annual spring celebration at The Woods. Visit with the Easter Bunny and live baby animals at the Maple Grove store, according to The Woods website. Free drawings.  Bring your own camera.

When: Saturday, March 26, 2016.   10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Easter Bunny; Noon to 2 p.m. animals

Where: The Woods Gifts, 15825 95th N, Maple Grove.

Easter Egg Hunt at Lord of Life Lutheran Church

What: Invite a friend, enjoy an egg hunt, and hear the Easter story. Bring a bag of individually wrapped candy to share. Rain or shine.

When: 4-5 p.m. Saturday, March 26

Where: Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Road 101, Maple Grove

Cost: Free


Natural Egg Dyeing at Eastman Nature Center

What: Use natural foods to dye beautiful and unusual eggs. Bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs and dye an impressive set. Drop in anytime.

When: Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m.-noon

Where: Eastman Nature Center in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove/ Dayton

Cost: $5 per dozen eggs and this program is open to all ages. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 

6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

What: The children’s ministry at Passion Church will have 75,000 candy-filled plastic eggs for children to hunt for while parents (and youth 12 and older) join an Easter worship service, according to the Passion Church website. Hunts are age appropriate.

When:  9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016

Where: Maple Grove Senior High School, 9800 Fernbrook Lane North, Maple Grove

Cost: Free, preregistration suggested. A parent/guardian must register child(ren) before each egg hunt. Parents not allowed in egg hunt area after registration.

Spring Nests and Eggs at Eastman Nature Center

What: Discover the beauty of wild bird eggs and nest architecture. Drop in anytime.

When: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 27

Where: Eastman Nature Center in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove/ Dayton

Cost: Free, open to all ages. Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
