Maple Grove Police Investigate Assault Report

Maple Grove Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 on the 17000 block of 96th Avenue.

A man with a puncture wound to his abdomen was discovered when officers arrived, according to the Maple Grove Police Department, which believes the suspect is known by the victim. A man was later arrested.

The injured man was brought to the hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury, according to police.

 Police stated it appears to be an isolated incident and no further risk to the public.

The case remains under investigation.
