Mainstream Boutique - Maple Grove owner Gina Hoben and Donna Rongstad.

When Donna Rongstad and Gina Hoben (a mother/daughter team) opened Mainstream Boutique in Maple Grove four years ago, they didn’t have too many neighbors.

The Grove (east of I-94 on Maple Grove Parkway) was starting to attract new businesses when the duo decided it was a prime location to open their Mainstream Boutique franchisee location and offer women’s apparel, accessories, and jewelry.

From their corner spot on Grove Circle North, Mainstream Boutique not only has additional neighbors, but continues to build on their loyal customer following while staying on top of current fashion trends. Their role in the community has also earned Mainstream Boutique several “Best of” recognition honors in local publications.

“We care about our customers and community,” Hoben said. “We pride ourselves on affordable fashion at affordable prices – providing staple pieces you can wear for years to come."

Helping women achieve a look they are striving for is an important component of Mainstream Boutique. Their team-focused, multi-generational approach provides fashion options for all ages.

“Stylists are here to help any woman make sure she has the perfect piece or outfit – from head to toe,” Hoben said. “Some people feel uncomfortable going outside their box. Our stylists work with them to encourage new styles, share the latest fashions, and more.”

Listening to their customers’ needs led the business to offer multiple options for women to view and purchase pieces. Mainstream Boutique not only has their retail location at The Grove, but offers an option for women to view and purchase products directly from their Facebook page.

“When people look good, they feel good – and it reflects in everything they do and helps them feel more confident,” Rongstad said.

The duo remains active in the community, contributing to local organizations as well as developing partnerships with other local businesses, such as the upcoming  Breakfast and Boobs with Lori and Julia event at The Breast Center of Maple Grove April 23.

“We have a lot on the horizon - we’re so excited,” Rongstad said of the future for Mainstream Boutique.
