Updated: Two Charged After Damage at Town Green

Police are seeking information about four individuals in possible relation to a property damage incident at Town Green (photo provided by Maple Grove Police Department).

April 19,2016 - A week after the Maple Grove Police Department posted a request for the public's assistance on their Facebook page, the department posted a statement stating charges have been filed in relation to the Town Green damage. 

The Maple Grove Police Department posted the following April 19: 

"We are pleased to report that two adult males were identified from these photos, and were charged yesterday for Felony Damage to Property. We will also be seeking restitution for the damage they caused.

We want to thank the public for sharing this information and helping us solve this crime. We could not have done it without your help and it further emphasizes the great partnership our police department and citizens have in continuing to make our community great. Thank you!"

April 13, 2016 - After a report of property damage at the Town Green Band Shell April 6, the Maple Grove Police Department decided to turn to the community for assistance.

“Through the course of our investigation it was determined that three glass panes were shot with a BB gun causing a felony amount of damage to property,” the Maple Grove Police Department posted on Facebook April 13 along with photos of the four individuals police identified as “suspects.”

The damage at Town Green occurred approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, was discovered and reported the following morning (April 6), according to police. Damage is estimated to be between $15,000-$20,000, according to a Northwest Community Television report

Two weeks prior to the April 5 incident, a different glass pane at Town Green was damaged. However, police are unsure if the two events are related.
