Crimson Softball; Baseball Victorious in Section Play

The 
Maple Grove Senior High Crimson girls softball team knocked off the top ranked team in the Section 5AAA tournament and will face Spring Lake Park the afternoon of Thursday, June 2 with the winner moving on to the state tournament. The Crimson will need to beat the Panthers twice if they want to make their fifth straight trip to the state tournament.

Maple Grove scored seven runs in the first inning setting the tone in the win.

Boys Baseball 
Maple Grove 6 - Buffalo 2
The Crimson baseball team defeated Buffalo in the quarterfinals of the Section 8AAAA tournament on Tuesday, May 31. The top seeded Crimson led 2-0 after the second inning only to watch as the Bison tied the game in the top of the fifth inning. Maple Grove regained the lead in the bottom of the inning and added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth for the win.

The Crimson will host Brainerd on Thursday, June 2 at 4:30 p.m.

St. Michael-Albertville 8 - Osseo 5
The 
Osseo Senior High Orioles dropped their opening game of the double elimination tournament 8-5 on Tuesday, May 31 to St. Michael Albertville. The Orioles will face Rogers on Thursday, June 2 at Rogers High School.
