The following are incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Fire Department in May 2016.

May 1

  • 9800 block of Fernbrook Lane North.  Alarm system activation, no fire – unintentional.  

May 2

  • 11800 block of 80th Avenue North. Removal of victim(s) from stalled elevator.

May 3

  • 7300 block of Brunswick Avenue. Brooklyn Park building fire.

May 4

  • 15200 block of 18th Avenue North. Plymouth building fire.
  • 7000 block of Hemlock Lane North. Extrication, rescue, other.
  • 9200 block of Zanzibar Lane North. Extrication, rescue, other.

May 5

  • 6400 block of Vagabond Lane North. Cooking fire, confined to container.

May 6

  • 14800 block of 75th Avenue North. Sprinkler activation, no fire - unintentional.
  • 12700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Outside fire.
  • 12300 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke.
  • Weaver Lake Road North and West Fish Lake Road. Fire out report.
  • 12300 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke.

May 7

  • 9900 block of 101st Avenue North. Smoke or odor removal.
  • 84th Ave N and Pineview Lane North. Smoke scare, odor of smoke.

  • 83rd Way North and County Road 101. Good intent call, other.
  • 12200 block of Arbor Lakes Parkway North. Burnt food.

  • 23000 block of Highway 55. Loretto building fire.

May 27

  • 89th Avenue North and Tewsbury Gate. Power line down.

May 29

  • 16800 block of 91st Avenue North. EMS call, excluding vehicle accident with injury

May 31

  • 9921 Ives Lane North. Smoke detector activation, no fire – construction.
  • 10186 Yorktown Lane North. Odor, smell of gas.
  • County Road 30 and Troy Lane North. Gasoline or other flammable liquid spill.
  • 11800 block of Fountains Way. Burnt food.

There were 15 incidents of detector activation/malfunction, two medical assistance, eight dispatched calls canceled in route, seven incidents of strange odor/smell.
