The Maple Grove Lions are getting ready to host their 11th annual Gift of Sight Golf Tournament. The tournament will take place at Pheasant Acres Golf Course 1 p.m Friday, June 10.

Tournament proceeds will be donated to three charities focused on helping the blind and visually impaired: the Lions Vision Foundation, Minnesota Lions Eye Bank, and the Lions Leader Dogs for the Blind.

“We’d like to invite the community to come out and enjoy a day of golf and fun,” Event Chairman Dick Kentzelman said. “This is a very important fundraiser for our vision charities.”

The tournament is a best ball scramble with shotgun start at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per golfer, which includes 18 holes, a golf cart, and dinner. There are on-course games followed by a chicken and ribs awards dinner at 4:30 p.m. The tournament is limited to 36 foursomes, or you may be placed in a foursome group.
