Juveniles Park Paintball, License Plate Swap: MGPD Incident Report

The following is a synopsis of several incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department for the week of May 29- June 6, 2016. Additional details for burglaries, robbery, arson, and theft can be found on the city website crime mapping section.

May 29

  • 8000 block of Forestview Ln. Report of person unconscious due to diabetic issue. On arrival, officers provided oxygen until paramedics arrived for transport to hospital. 
  • 12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person concealing items in purse and leaving business without paying. Officers arrived and arrested person for theft. 

May 30

  • 11000 block of 80th Avenue. Report of person found unconscious. On arrival person conscious. Officer assisted paramedics for transport to hospital.
  • 6900 block of Lawndale Lane. Officer observed a person sitting on the curb late at night in front of business. Officer attempted to make contact, person ran. Person located by another officer and cited for underage drinking.
  • 9400 block of Trenton Lane. Report of person who had fallen. Officers arrived and assisted person back up. No injuries. 
  • 6000 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of person that fell, hurting neck and back. On arrival officers assisted in stabilizing neck and back with paramedics for transport. 
May 31
  • 11000 block of Fountains Way. Report of two people fighting. On arrival parties were separated, one for assault. 
  • 12000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of a bike stolen from bike rack at business. Officers observed video of incident. Bike found abandoned in area and returned to owner. Suspect of theft has not been identified. 
  • 62nd Avenue and Kirkwood Lane. Report of juveniles playing in roadway and not moving for vehicles. Officers advised not to play in the road. Officer drove by an hour later and juveniles were playing in driveway. All were given badge stickers and thanked. 
June 1
  • 16000 block of 91st Ave. Report of person seizing. On arrival officers assisted paramedics in getting person into ambulance for transport. 
  • 6000 block of Meadowlark Lane. Report of person taking taxi cab into Maple Grove and getting out at destination and running away without paying. Officers could not locate person in area. 
  • 96th Avenue and Rosewood Lane. Report of juveniles shooting paintball gun in park. Officers made contact and advised to clean up mess or be cited. Officer will follow up. 
  • 9300 Wellington Lane. Report of license plates stolen off vehicle and two different ones put on. Officers were notified by another agency that plates were located and person arrested. 

June 2

  • 11000 block of Fountains Drive. Report of vehicle being damaged while parked in business lot. No suspects at this time.
  • 12000 block of 63rd Way. Report of person in business acting strange and seemed intoxicated. On arrival officers made contact and later learned the person had a warrant. No alcohol involved and person arrested for warrant.  
June 3
  • 12000 block of 74th Avenue. Report of all four tires on vehicle parked in driveway overnight were slashed. No suspects at this time. 
  • 13000 block of 74th Place. Report of a fire in oven at residence. On arrival fire was under oven and spreading to floor. Used extinguisher to put out fire but it started again. Fire department put it out and officers cleared. 
  • 8000 block of Orchid Lane. Report of person falling and hitting head. On arrival officers applied pressure with bandages until ambulances arrived for transport. 
June 4
  • 9000 block of Dunkirk Lane. Received traffic complaints of a vehicle's erratic behavior and threats from driver. Officers located vehicle that then fled. Suspect caught after accident and arrested. 
  • 13000 block of Grove Drive. Report of person concealing items and leaving business without paying. Officer did locate person at another store and arrested them for theft. 
  • 7000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person in parking lot slumping over steering wheel in vehicle. On arrival person outside vehicle acting strange. Person later arrested for drugs.
