Jun 28, 2016 02:40PM ● Published by Wendy Erlien

A Wisconsin teen was seriously injured during a weekend accident on near westbound I-694 in Maple Grove around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, witnesses stated a red 1998 Pontiac Grand Pix was going westbound at a “high rate of speed in the left lane” and was traveling westbound on I-694.  A black SUV was in the center lane and reportedly was “cut off” by a black vehicle causing the driver to swerve. After swerving, the SUV almost struck the Pontiac, driven by 18-year-old Abraham R. Ingli of Knapp, Wisconsin, which caused the “Pontiac to swerve, hit construction barrels and flip.”

Two teenagers were injured and transported to North Memorial Hospital, according to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report.  Abraham R. Ingli was hospitalized with serious injuries. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts, according to a Fox 9 report.

The Maple Grove Police Department assisted in response.
