Happy Independence Day! Where to catch Fourth of July Fireworks Near Maple Grove
The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes hosts their free annual Camp Arbor programs for children ages 3-10.
Wednesday, July 6
6 a.m. – 9 p.m. – Wild Wednesday at Maple Grove Community Center Aquatic Center
“Just Ducky” is this week’s theme : Pool hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the indoor pools; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the outdoor pool.
11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Beach Olympics at Eastman Nature Center
Compete in various Minnesota-style events, including the frog long jump, turtle hurdles, busy beaver relay, and more. Race a minnow in the five-foot dash and check out the pond pool for synchronized swimming.
7 p.m. – The Riverside Swing Band Performance - Town Green
Thursday, July 7
11 a.m. - Celebrate The Family At Town Green - Sticks & Tones – Town Green
4-6 p.m. Fare For All – Lord of Life Lutheran Church

Enjoy fresh food shopping with a wide array of vendor grown produce and specialty items as well as live entertainment.

10-11 a.m. – Field Friday at Fish Lake Regional Park
Take a beach break with Eastman Nature Center staff. Search for creatures that call the park home and collect data for research.
Saturday, July 9
2-4 p.m. – Dragonfly Festival at Eastman Nature Center – Eastman Nature Center
Saturday, July 9, from 2-4 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Wade through Rush Creek searching for the rare Plains Emerald, a unique dragonfly found in only a handful of places across Minnesota. Search for other dragonflies, damselflies, and nymphs. All data is sent to the Minnesota Dragonfly Society to help track dragonfly populations. Nets provided; some waders/hip boots are available. Cost is $5
