When it comes to after school programs, World TaeKwonDo Academy in Maple Grove gives parents an option that will give their kids more than martial arts.

“Of course they’re working out and doing martial arts, but I think it’s about the philosophy of instilling discipline and respect,” Grandmaster Eui Lee said about the
World TaeKwonDo Academy after school program. ”I don’t think any other program can do that other than ours.”

The nation’s number one Taekwondo club provides a structured program with a staff that provides physical fitness, learn self defense and most importantly, learning character building skills.

Students are picked up directly from school and then when they arrive, work on homework, have a snack and participate in structured games, activities and art projects. One of the biggest character building pieces of the program, however, is the Taekwondo class they will participate in each day.

“It’s so many things,” Lee said. “It’s the skills that they learn. They’re working out, they feel better about themselves, it’s goal setting. All of those things really make a difference.”

World Taekwondo Academy has several locations around the Twin Cities, including:
  • Maple Grove, located at 6463, Sycamore Ct N
  • Osseo, located at 10401 93rd Ave. N Maple Grove
  • Rogers located at 21135 S. Diamond Lake Rd Suite 105, Rogers
  • St. Michael, located at Colonial Mall 403 Central Ave E, St. Michael
World Taekwondo Academy was founded in 1969 by Grandmaster Byung Yul Lee and has helped people learn the benefits of Taekwondo and martial arts.
