Original Aug. 30 post - As part of the I-494 road construction project, a portion of East Fish Lake Road is anticipated to close in both directions where it bridges over I-494 starting Sept. 1, according to the city of Maple Grove

Depending on weather conditions, the roadway is scheduled to reopen around Sept. 12.

Maple Grove Transit advised travelers of the following impact on bus service during the temporary closure:  "The Route 780 morning buses from the regular route on East Fish Lake Road at Wedgewood Lane will detour south on Wedgewood Lane to east on Bass Lake Road to north on Sycamore Lane back to regular on East Fish Lake Road. The detour for afternoon buses will be the reverse of the morning pattern."

A final closure and bus detour is scheduled for later this fall for final paving.
