Burglary, Person Passed Out, Mailbox Damage: MGPD Incident Report

The following is a synopsis of several incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department for the week of Aug. 21-27, 2016. Additional details for burglaries, robbery, arson, and theft can be found on the city website crime mapping section.

Information provided by Maple Grove Police Department.

August 21
  • Report of a person attempting to get into vehicle on 7800 block of Ithaca Lane. On arrival, officers could not find suspect and found no thefts.
  • Report of items stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight at 17000 block of 73rd Avenue. No suspects.
  • Report of items stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight at 17000 block of 83rd Avenue. No suspects.
  • Report of two suspects concealing items then leaving business without paying at 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Suspects arrested for theft.
  • Report of two persons looking into vehicles at 9000 block of Magnolia Lane. Officers located one suspect, who was released due to lack of evidence.

August 22
  • Report of items stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight at 17000 block of Weaver Lake Drive. No suspects at this time.
  • Report of unconscious person at 18000 block of 86th Place. On arrival person awake feeling faint. Officer assisted with transport.
  • Report of two people slumped over in vehicle in parking lot at 8100 block of Wedgewood Lane. Officers located vehicle and found parties napping.

August 23
  • Report of person shining flashlight in front windows of residence and then left in a vehicle at 9000 block of Nathan Lane. Officers could not locate vehicle or person.
  • Report of several plants taken from greenhouse at Bass Lake Road and Sycamore Lane. No suspects at this time.
  • Report of bike stolen from outside business at 7000 block of Forestview Lane. No suspects at this time.
  • Report of person who was laying in the grass off trail on 14000 block of 87th Avenue. On arrival officers found person to be intoxicated and was transported to hospital.

August 24
  • Report of several items stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight at 9500 block of Polaris Lane. No suspects at this time.
  • Report of person having chest pain at 6700 block of Ranier Lane. Officers assisted medics for transport.
  • Report of person concealing several items, leaving without paying on 13000 block of Grove Drive. Officers arrived, party arrested.
  • Report of smoke coming from garage of residence at 7000 block of Garland Lane. On arrival officers observed flames and primed hydrants for fire department. Officers assisted with traffic control.

August 25
  • Report of male wearing all black in area in early morning hours at 6200 block of Orleans Lane. When they saw reporting party, put hood up and walked away. Officers could not locate person.
  • Report of residence entered overnight and several items stolen at 16000 block of 72nd Place. No suspects at this time.
  • Report of person having trouble breathing on 10000 block of 96th Place. Officers assisted medics for transport to hospital.
  • Report of window being shattered at business at 12000 block of Bass Lake Road. No suspects at this time.
August 26
  • Report of person unconscious at 8000 block of Dunkirk Lane. On arrival person conscious who was then transported to hospital by ambulance.
  • Report of person pumping gas into vehicle and driving away without paying at 13000 block of Grove Drive. No suspect located at this time.

August 27
  • Report of lock of business that was drilled out at 15000 block of 95th Avenue. No entry made to business and no suspects at this time.
  • Report of person having asthma attack and unresponsive at 7300 block of Rosewood Lane. On arrival officers provided oxygen until medics arrived for transport.
  • Report of male in street damaging mailboxes at 94th and Xemium area. On arrival, person not located but found damage done and mail in street.
