Twin Cities author and publisher Sybil Smith will conduct a class on self-publishing for aspiring authors 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28  at the Maple Grove Middle School, 7000 Hemlock Lane.

The two-hour class, called “Congratulations, you’ve written a book. Now what?” will cover every stage of the self-publishing process: creation, publication, promoting/marketing and sales.

Cost of the class is $25.  To register, go to www.catchtheenergy.org or call 763-391-7119.

“A revolution is taking place in the book-publishing industry and the traditional gatekeepers are no longer in control," Smith said. "Authors are now able to produce a finished, professional-quality print book for fewer out-of-pocket expenses, and take advantage of new ways to promote and sell their books to a worldwide audience.”

Sybil Smith is the founder and CEO of Smith House Publishing Consultants, Smith House Press and FINS Publications and has been in the publishing industry for more than 35 years.
