Disturbance,Theft, Fire: MPGD Incident Report

The following is a synopsis of several incidents responded to by the Maple Grove Police Department for the week of Sept. 4-10, 2016. Additional details for burglaries, robbery, arson, and theft can be found on the city website crime mapping section.

Information provided by Maple Grove Police Department

Sept. 4

  • 14000 block of 79th Avenue. Report of person having difficulty breathing. Officers monitored until paramedics transported person to hospital.
  • 12000 block of 99th Avenue. Report of residence on fire. On arrival, officers assured no one was inside of residence, two cats were rescued.  Fire department extinguished fire.
  • 8200 block of Vagabond Lane. Report of residence broken into while homeowners out of town. Case being investigated with possible suspect.

Sept. 5

  • 6200 block of Pilgrim Lane. Report of person trying to get into residence; officers located person who was intoxicated, who was at the  wrong residence.  Transported to correct home by officers.
  • 9800 block of Kirkwood Lane. Report of items taken out of unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight. No suspects at this time.
  • 11000 block of 100th Avenue. Report of items stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight, no suspects at this time.
  • 13000 block of 84th Place. Report of person experiencing shortness of breath. Officer provided oxygen until paramedics transported person to hospital.

Sept. 6

  • 6700 block of Marilyn Drive. Report of mail stolen from mailbox. Officers located several pieces of mail in street.  No suspects.
  • 7300 block of Kirkwood Lane. Report of person possibly having heart attack; officers monitored until paramedics transported person to hospital.
  • 16000 block of 96th Avenue. Report of several high price items taken from work truck, no suspects at this time.

Sept. 7

  • 7000 block of Kirkwood Court. Report of person having allergic reaction; officers monitored until paramedics cleared them.
  • 6300 block of Vinewood Lane. Report of items taken out of unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight, no suspects at this time.
  • 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of person concealing items and leaving business without paying; officers arrived and arrested party for theft.
  • 6700 block of Deerwood Lane. Report of person who had fallen. On arrival, officers monitored and then assisted with transport to hospital.

Sept. 8

  • 12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person concealing items and leaving business without paying; officers arrested party for theft.
  • 16000 block of 96th Avenue. Report of person in taxi making disturbance at business. On arrival, officer found person to have warrant and arrested them.

Sept. 9

  • 10000 block of 104th Avenue. Report of occupied suspicious vehicle in park early morning hours; officers made contact with person who was sleeping and told to leave.
  • 12000 block of 80th Avenue. Report of person having difficulty breathing; on arrival officers assisted medics with treatment and transport to hospital.
  • 9600 block of 106th Avenue. Report of person in severe pain; officers assisted with transport to hospital.
  • 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of several items taken from unlocked vehicle in parking lot of business during the day; no suspects at this time.

Sept. 10

  • Bass Lake Road and Highway 169. Report of person walking along highway; officers located person who was walking from work. 
  • 13000 block of Grove Drive. Report of person trying to sell back stolen items; officers made contact and arrested the party for theft.
  • 9000 block of 104th Avenue. Report of person not breathing; on arrival officer assisted with first aid and CPR, person transported to hospital. 

During this time period there were 25 property damage traffic accidents and no property damage injury traffic accidents.
