Maple Grove Senior High students Alyssa Risch, Allan Khankari, and Sikai Yang and Osseo Senior High student Collin Sham were recently named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists for their achievement on the 2015 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test taken last school year.

About 1.6 million juniors in 22,000 high schools across the country entered the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2015 PSAT/NMSQT.

As semifinalists, the students are among the highest scoring entrants in each state, representing less than one percent of all U.S. high school seniors.

They are among 16,000 semifinalists who will compete for 7,600 scholarships.
