Osseo Athletics Celebrates 12 New Hall of Fame Inductees

The Osseo Senior High School Orioles welcomed back 12 athletic stars on Friday, Sept. 23 and inducted them into the Hall of Fame.

The new inductees are pictured below with Osseo Senior High Activities Director Bill Quan during halftime of the Osseo v. Totino Grace football game.

Dick Aften graduated in 1964 and ran cross country and track. Aften is the former school record holder in cross country and mile run at Osseo High School. Aften ranks fifth on the all-time mile list at Osseo at 4:18.6. He was also president of national honor society and class valedictorian at Osse Senior High. Photo by: Doug Erlien


Scott Clark graduated in 1976 and ran track and cross Country. Clark is the current Osseo High school record holder in the mile run at 4:11 and was the 1976 Minnesota high school champion in the mile run. He placed third in the state cross country run as a senior. Scott placed third in the state mile run as a junior. (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


Darren Droegemueller graduated in 1988. Droegemueller was a two-time state champion in wrestling. He finished with a career record of 150-9-3 at Osseo. Awards include 1985 Academic All-American,1988 High School All-American, 1988 Osseo Male Athlete of the Year and 1988 All-Conference in soccer. (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


David Droegemueller graduated in 1986 and was a two-time state wrestling champion in 1985 and 1986 and placed third place in state in 1984 and second in state in 1983. He finished with a career record of 159-10-2. Awards included being named All State four times. Academic All-American and High School All-American. (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


Jessica Fiebelkorn Kerr graduated in 1989 and starred in basketball and volleyball. Jessica was a four year letter winner in basketball and a three year letter winner in volleyball. She was All-Conference in both sports numerous times and was a captain in both sports. Jessica was the Star and Tribune Metro Volleyball Player of the Year in 1988. She was also named the Minnesota Miss Basketball winner in 1989. (Photo By: Doug Erlien)


Larry Hoff graduated in 1962 was a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball. He earned a record eleven varsity letters while at Osseo - three in football, three in basketball, and five in baseball. He was All-Conference and All-State in football, leading scorer and All-Conference in basketball and named to the Post newspaper All Star team. In baseball, he was also named All-Conference. Warner Huss graduated in 1973. Huss was a three-time All Conference and was a two-time All-State player.He ranks number one in career blocked shots, season blocked shots, season rebounds and second in career rebounds. Warner ranks second in career scoring average. Huss was the first Oriole to reach 1,000 career points.  (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


Jack Leadens graduated in 1957 and starred in football and basketball. Leadens was a two-time All-Conference in basketball and set the single season scoring record in 1957. He was two time All-Conference in football and all state his senior year. He played in the North-South All Star football game. (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


Chad Mortenson graduated in 1987 and starred football and hockey. Chad was All- Conference, All-State and honorable mention All-American in football at Osseo. He ranks in the top ten in career points, touchdowns and yards gained. He was twice All-Conference in hockey and ranks high on the career scoring list. (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


Dennis Stieg graduated in 1959 and starred in basketball as well as being instrumental in the Osseo girls basketball program. Steig lettered in four sports at Osseo and was captain and All-Conference in basketball and baseball. He still holds the Osseo record for single game rebounds at 28. He was selected to the North Hennepin Post All Star basketball team. Steig returned to Osseo after college to teach and coach basketball and football. He started the girls basketball and special education programs at Osseo High School. (Photo by: Doug Erlien)


Mike Price graduated in 1976 and played football and baseball. Price was a team captain in three sports and an All-Conference performer in football and baseball. He was an All-State football player his senior year and played in the All-State football game. In his senior year, Price competed in the regional track meet after his baseball season ended and he won the long jump title to advance to the state meet. Price ranks fourth on the all time long jump list at 21’9.5" (Photo by: Doug Erlien)

Heather Anderson (not pictured) graduated in 1996 and starred in track and cross country. Anderson is the current Osseo High School record holder in 1600 and 3200 meters. She was state champion in the 1996 1600 meter run and an Osseo High Athena Award winner for outstanding athlete.
