Tyler Sealock returns an interception of a Centennial pass.
The Osseo Orioles strong start wasn’t enough to hold off a balanced Centennial offensive attack as the Orioles dropped to 1-5 on the season with a 35-23 loss to the Cougars on Saturday, Oct. 8.
With homecoming as the backdrop, the Orioles scored on their opening drive when Mar Mar Hughes connected with Karon Harmon on a 33-yard touchdown.
The Cougars answered with a pair of first quarter touchdowns to take a 14-7 lead. The Orioles answered back when Greg Arrell found Harmon for his second score of the game and took the lead with seven seconds left in the half on a 33-yard field goal to give Osseo a 17-14 lead.
The second half belonged to the Cougars as they scored 21 unanswered points led by Riley Trettel’s 140-yards and four touchdowns.
After rushing for 250-yards, Parnell Taylor was held to just 37-yards on the ground.
The Orioles (1-5) travel to Coon Rapids High School Friday, Oct.14.
