Suspicious Activity, Assault, Theft: MGPD Incident Report

The following incidents occurred in Maple Grove Sept. 18-24, 2016, as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department

Information provided by Maple Grove Police Department

Sept. 18

  • 14000 block of 93rd Place. Report of a person ringing doorbell to gain access to residence. Officers learned person was intoxicated and at wrong residence, directed to correct home.
  • 9200 block of Zanzibar Lane. Report of unconscious person. On arrival person conscious, transported to hospital by ambulance.
  • 10000 block of Nathan Lane. Report of person who had fallen and cut eyebrow; on arrival there was a significant cut and person transported to hospital by ambulance.

Sept. 19

  • 6200 block of Urbandale Lane. Report of occupied vehicle near children’s bus stop. Officers made contact, person waiting for supervisor for construction work in area.
  • 12000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of bike stolen that was locked to bench; officers viewed video with no suspect results.
  • 13000 block of 83rd Way. Report vehicle parked in bank parking lot after hours. Officers made contact, parties arrested for drugs. 

Sept. 20

  • 9700 block of 85th Avenue. Report of items taken from locked vehicle; no damage to vehicle, purse stolen. Officer conducting follow up on case.
  • 6200 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of juveniles climbing on roof of building; officers were unable to locate parties.
  • 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of vehicle parked behind business. Officers made contact, party was using Wi-Fi signal.  Business owner allowed them to stay.

Sept. 21

  • 8900 block of Goldenrod Lane. Report of items stolen from unlocked vehicle in driveway overnight; no suspects at this time.
  • 11000 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of person that put gas in vehicle and drove away without paying. Officer following up with suspect.

Sept. 22

  • 12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person concealing items and leaving business without paying; officers arrested party for theft.
  • 16000 block of 96th Avenue. Report of person in parking lot wanting money and alcohol; officers could not locate person on arrival.

Sept. 23

  • 11000 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of person filling tank with gas and driving off without paying; officers following up with suspect.

Sept. 24

  • 13000 block of Grove Drive. Report of person being assaulted in parking lot of business. On arrival person had several injuries, refused medical and did not want to pursue charges.
  • 6500 block of Ives Lane. Report of iPhone stolen, phone pinged, officers made contact at address, locating stolen phone. Case referred to other agency for charges.
  • Maple Grove Parkway and Upland Lane. Report of trailer stolen from area; no suspects at this time.

During this time period there were 26 property damage traffic accidents and three property damage injury traffic accidents.
