Council Approves The Grove Service Station PUD Concept, Development Plan

Oct 18, 2016 08:36PM ● Published by Wendy Erlien

At the Oct. 3 meeting, the Maple Grove City Council approved a resolution  for the Grove Service Station Planned Unit Development Concept Stage Plan, Development Stage Plan, and preliminary plat located at 9871 and 9805 Maple Grove Parkway.

The plans for the stand alone development on approximately 1.7 acres in The Grove, according to a memorandum provided to the council by city staff, include construction of a fueling station, which includes a convenience store, car care facility and car wash.

The request was initially reviewed by the city council at the Sept. 19 meeting. In which, the applicant B&A Enterprises representative Jeff Bahe indicated they hoped to begin construction this fall with a late spring 2017 opening.

The concept plan “also considers an approximate 4,000 retail/service building on a lot approximately 1.2 acres, and any consideration of the secondary lot is strictly conceptual,” according to the memo
