Construction is underway for a new location for the fashion retailer, H&M, at The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove.

The business is planning on moving into an approximately 18,000 square foot space (the former Express and Brooks Brother space), according to The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes Marketing Director Jennifer Zafft.  In preparation for H&M, Express has moved across from Victoria Secret at The Shoppes.

A spring 2017 opening is anticipated, according to Zafft.

A worldwide fashion retailer, H&M opened its first location in 1947 in Sweden and has since expanded to more than 4,200 stores and aims to “make sustainable, good-quality fashion accessible to as many people as possible,” according to the H&M website.

As of Oct. 25, H&M has several job openings listed on their website for the Maple Grove location including Department Manager, Store Manager, Sales Advisor, Visual Merchandiser, and Department Manager.

Other H&M locations in Minnesota include Woodbury, Minneapolis (Calhoun Square), Burnsville, St. Paul (Maplewood Mall), St. Cloud, Edina (Southdale), Bloomington (Mall of America), Minnetonka (Ridgedale).
