With the fall sports season over for most teams, here is a recap what took place for some of the local high school teams:

Maple Grove:
Volleyball:
The Crimson finished with a 14-14 record. Alexie Pyrd and Paige Hinze paced the Crimson offensive attack with 219 and 192 kills respectively.

Girls Soccer:
The Crimson girls had a great season, finishing 13-3 and losing in the
section championship to eventual state champion Centennial. Merideth Haakenson finished with 12 goals and the junior will be back next season for her senior campaign.

Boys Soccer:
The Crimson boys finished 10-5-3 and
defeated St. Michael Albertville in the quarterfinals of section play before losing to Moorhead 3-2. Senior Ryan Dubois finished his senior campaign with 18 goals to lead the way.

Girls Tennis:
The Crimson tennis team finished 12-4 and 7th grader Zoe Adkins proved the stage wasn’t too big. Adkins represented the program in the state tournament.

Football:
Another year, another state tournament berth. The
Crimson finished the season 8-3 after losing to Eden Prairie in the quarterfinal round. Senior Brad Davison set the all time career record for passing yardage.

Osseo:
Volleyball:
The
Orioles finished 24-4, losing to Champlin Park in the section semi-final round. Seniors Tina Boe and Ellie Hoyt led the way and will be big losses heading into next season.

Girls Soccer:
The Orioles
finished 4-12-1, but had plenty to look forward to in the future. Sophomore goalie Erica Seitz gained valuable experience and will look to help the Orioles take the next step next season.

Boys Soccer:
The Osseo boys finished the season 1-10-3.

Girls Tennis:
The girls tennis team finished 2-16. With eight seniors graduating, the Orioles will look to build depth with younger players.

Football:
Ryan Stockhaus took the reins of a program that won the 6A championship and the Orioles struggled to a 2-7 record. The team was competitive and will look to build with several key returners back next season.

Heritage Christian Academy:
Volleyball:
How do you respond to a third place finish in last years state tournament? How about making a return trek. The Eagles finished fourth after losing a close match 3-2 with eventual champion Mayer Lutheran.

Girls Soccer:
The Eagles finished 13-4 and lost to Legacy Christian Academy 1-0 in the section semi-finals.

Boys Soccer:
The Eagles finished 6-10-2 on the season, losing to Southwest Christian 1-0 in the section semi-finals.
