Drive-Thru Window, Ding Dong Ditch, Theft: MGPD Incident Report

The following incidents occurred in Maple Grove Nov. 6-12, 2016, as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department.

Nov. 6
9000 block of Sycamore Lane. Report of a neighbor witnessing a male take a bike from residence and ride away. Officers were unable to locate the suspect or the bike.

6700 block of Evergreen Lane. Report of eggs thrown at vehicle damaging paint. No suspects at this time.

12000 block of 82nd Avenue. Report of window smashed on vehicle and items stolen. No suspects at this time.

Nov. 7
11000 block of Fountains Drive. Report of two suspects from previous theft in building concealing items and leaving without paying. Both suspects were arrested.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Suspect selected item and went to return it fraudulently. Officers arrested the suspect for theft.

6600 block of Quantico Lane. Report of campaign signs stolen from yards. No suspects at this time.

Nov. 8
7600 block of Zinnia Way. Report of package delivered to residence, stolen from steps. No suspects at this time.

I-94 and Weaver Lake Road. Report of pedestrian walking on shoulder of freeway. Officers made contact and gave party a ride to nearest gas station.

13000 block of Grove Drive. Report of person acting strange and looking in vehicles. Officers made contact with party who was waiting for a ride. Nothing criminal happened.

Nov. 9
8500 block of Forestview Lane. Report of unoccupied vehicle with no plates and freshly painted parked in front of residence. Officers made contact with owner who took plates off to paint vehicle. Vehicle moved to private lot.

9000 block of 106th Place. Report of person not feeling well. Officers made contact with party who sat down so they didn’t fall. Transported to hospital by ambulance.

12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person concealing items and leaving store without paying. Officers made contact and arrested the party for the theft.

7000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person eating and drinking at business, then left without paying tab. Case being investigated for charges.

Nov. 10
9000 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of vehicle being keyed on both sides while parked at business. No suspects at this time.

7800 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of person on bike climbing through drive-thru window of closed business. Officers located person leaving who was an employee of the business.

7000 block of Vinewood Court. Report of windows being smashed on vehicle parked in driveway at residence. Suspect identified and case being followed up on.

Nov. 11
8200 block of Main Street. Report of person who fell. Officers assisted the party to their feet. They were not injured.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of person concealing clothing items under what they were wearing and left business without paying. Officers arrived and arrested person for theft.

66th Place and Fish Lake Road. Report of person staggering at the intersection. Officers made contact with party who was intoxicated. Sent to hospital.

Nov. 12
15000 block of 64th Avenue. Several calls regarding ding dong ditch of residents in area. Officers located toilet paper in area but did not locate suspects.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of the same suspects stealing items from two different businesses. Officers checked area but were unable to locate the suspects.

During this time period there were 25 property damage traffic accidents and two property damage injury traffic accidents.
