Life Saved, Water Added to Gas Tank, Armed Robbery: MGPD Incident Report

The following incidents occurred in Maple Grove Nov. 13-19, 2016, as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department.

Nov. 13
17000 block of 68th Place. Report of an unresponsive person. On arrival performed lifesaving measures, pulse obtained, party transported to hospital.

12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of party asked to leave business several times but would not. Officers arrived, party left in taxi without issues.

6000 block of Pilgrim Lane. Occupied vehicle in front of residents. Occupants were getting in and out of vehicle and were smoking something. Officers made contact, party ran out of gas and waiting for friend to bring gas. Nothing suspicious.

Nov. 14
10000 block of Monticello Lane. Report of license plate stolen from rear of vehicle parked overnight in driveway. No suspects and plate entered as stolen.

12000 block of 84th Avenue. Report of computer stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight. No suspects at this time.

12000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of graffiti painted on parking lot of business. Possible suspect.

11000 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of person filling up tank with gas and not paying. Officer following up on suspect.

Nov. 15
9200 block of Upland Lane. Report of vehicle parked in front of residence with lights on for 45 minutes. Officers made contact with parties having conversation and were advised to move.

9000 block of Cottonwood Lane. Report of severe damage done to vehicle parked inside garage overnight. Case being investigated.

11000 block of 93rd Avenue. Report of water added to gas tank of vehicle which caused severe damage. No suspects at this time.

13000 block of Grove Drive. While in the area officer observed vehicle parked at closed business. When contact was made, officer cited party with possession of marijuana.

Nov. 16
I-94 and Weaver Lake Road. Report of person laying on sidewalk in area. Officers made contact with intoxicated person who was then transported home.

6500 block of Forestview Lane. Report of utility trailer stolen from yard at business. Under investigation

15000 block of 96th Place. Report of neighbor seeing person trying garage code and then going around back of residence. On arrival officers located screen removed. Found party who was relative and had permission to be there.

10000 block of 104th Avenue. Report of damage to plastic slide at playground. No suspects at this time.

Nov. 17
8600 block of Valley Forge Lane. Report of person who fell. Officers provided medical attention until medics transported party to hospital.

Nov. 18
9600 block of Upland Lane. Report of armed robbery at business. Perimeter set up but no suspects located. Case being investigated.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of several shoplifters conceal items and running from business. Officer pursued and caught all parties who were arrested for fleeing and theft.

12000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of person dislocating knee. Paramedics transported to hospital by ambulance.

Nov. 19
Fish Lake Road and I-94. Officer in area doing speed enforcement and stopped a vehicle doing 73 in a 60 MPH zone. Person arrested for DWI.

8000 block of Kirkwood Lane. Report of vehicle hitting mailbox and destroying it. Officers located suspect in neighborhood and following up on charges.

94th Avenue and Trenton Lane. Report of vehicle going to numerous mailboxes. Officers located vehicle and driver putting advertisement mail in boxes. No crime.

During this time there were 22 property damage traffic accidents and four property damage injury traffic accidents.
