It has been 15 years since Cold Stone Creamery - Maple Grove opened the first Minnesota location on Main Street in Maple Grove.
Since then, customers continue to be drawn to the ice cream shop in search chilled desserts. From ice cream to cakes, shakes and smoothies, yogurt and sorbet and more, the classically designed shop has become an ice cream destination for many community members.
“We have a fantastic location in the hub of Maple Grove - right off of Elm Creek Boulevard on Main Street,” Cold Stone Creamery Maple Grove owner Charlene Liebert said.
While some customers stick with the traditional signature creations at Cold Stone, creating your own creation is an option. “Customers can always sample as many flavors as they want,” Liebert said. New seasonal promotions bring additional choices for customers on a rotating basis, such as candy cane, dark chocolate peppermint, eggnog, and pumpkin. Adding to the mix of options, Cold Stone Creamery has added catering to their list of options for events like graduation, wedding, creating sundae bars, and more.
The franchisee business, loyally owned and operated, has passed to several owners throughout years. For the last three years, Charlene Liebert of Rogers has operated with the Maple Grove location. Many of the more than 20 employees on staff are usually high school students. “We try really hard to help them learn and teach them how to be successful,” Liebert said.
“What’s really cool is that it has become a hangout for high school students and families – we have a lot of regulars,” she said
