Tubing Hill, Skiing at the Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area

For winter outdoor enthusiasts, the winter recreation area at Elm Creek Park Reserve is ready for the 2016-17 season.

The tubing hill, according to Three Rivers Park District, is scheduled to open Friday, Dec. 23. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m Dec. 23 to Jan. 2 with the exception of the following dates:
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 24
Closed Dec. 25 
The cost is $15 per person for a two-hour pass and can be purchased at the Elm Creek Park District chalet. Riders must be at least 4 years of age or 36" tall, according to Three Rivers Park District

Other winter opportunities at the Elm Creek Park Reserve include alpine skiing and snowboarding as well as cross-country skiing. Downhill skiing is currently open, as of Dec. 22. Cross country ski trails vary depending on trail conditionsClick here to find out more information on hours and rates.
