Registration: Fourth Annual Community Forum on Race

Online registration is open for the fourth annual Community Forum on Race. The 2017 free event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center. 

The purpose of the forum is to facilitate meaningful intergenerational and multi-racial conversations about race in our community, as well as surrounding communities, according to a press release from the city of Maple Grove.

The annual forum is sponsored by the city of Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park, Osseo Area Schools, African Immigrant Services, Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Joint Community Police Partnership, and Northwest Suburban Integration School District. 

Alexs Pate is scheduled to be the keynote speaker. Pate is a author, novelist, playwright, writing professor and president of Innocent Technologies, LLC.
