Surrounded by friends, family and hockey fans and a fire truck, the Maple Grove Senior High Crimson boys hockey team received a send off to St. Paul and the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday afternoon. The Crimson, making their second state tournament appearance in school history, advanced with a victory over Centennial last week.  

Maple Grove (22-6), received the fourth seed in the tournament and will face the fifth seed Grand Rapids High School (20-7-1) on Thursday, March 9 at Xcel Energy Center at 8 p.m.
