Maple Grove, Osseo and Heritage Christian Academy Basketball Continue in Section Play

Heritage Christian Academy  vs. Prairie Seeds Academy
5:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 14  at Anoka-Hennepin Community College

The No. 2 seeded Eagles (23-5) face No. 3 Prairie Seeds in the first of two section 4A boys basketball tournament. Heritage Christian is paced offensively by a pair of 1,000 point seniors in C.J. Woda and Zach Johansen. Both players are averaging over 20 points per game and give the Eagles a solid one-two punch.

Osseo Senior High  vs. Park Center Senior High
5 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at 
Maple Grove Senior High 

The No. 3 seeded Orioles (20-7) face Park Center for the third time this season in the Section 5AAAA semifinals. The Pirates won the first game early in December while Osseo gained revenge at the end of January 82-53. Zach Theisen leads the way for the Orioles averaging 22 points per game.

Maple Grove Senior High  vs. Rogers High School
7 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at Monticello High School - Section 8AAAA Championship

The top seeded Crimson (26-2) return to the section championship game where they will face a familiar opponent, the Rogers Royals. Maple Grove defeated the Royals in the opening game of the season 68-41. Mr. Basketball finalists Brad Davison (24 PPG), and Tywhon Pickford (21 PPG) lead the way for Maple Grove offensively.

The Royals (24-4) have won 17 of their last 18 games and are led offensively by Jordan Belka who averages 16 points per game.
