Maple Grove to Face Andover in State Boys Quarterfinals

The AAAA 2017 State Boys Basketball Tournament field is set and will begin on Wednesday, March 22 at Target Center.

The Minnesota State High School League seeds the top five teams of the eight-team field. The fourth and fifth seeded teams play each other in the quarterfinal round with the top three teams and the remaining three teams match-up determined by a blind draw.

Undefeated Champlin Park earned the top seed in the tournament and will play Chaska, followed by 
Maple Grove Senior High who will play Andover and Apple Valley who will play Cretin-Derham Hall. Lakeville North picked up the fourth seed and will play Wayzata who was seeded fifth.  

2017 AAAA Tournament – Wednesday, March 22 – Target Center
10 a.m. – (1) Champlin Park vs. Chaska
Noon – (4) Lakeville South vs. Wayzata
2 p.m.  – (2) Maple Grove vs. Andover
4 p.m. – (3) Apple Valley vs. Cretin-Derham Hall

The Crimson defeated Andover 66-41 in the final game of the regular season.
