50th Anniversary Wastebasket Revue Opens April 20

In its 50th year, the Wastebasket Revue continues to take to the stage to provide scholarships for ISD 279 - Osseo Area Schools students.

All performances are at Park Center Senior High, located at 7300 Brooklyn Boulevard in Brooklyn Park. The 2017 showtimes are scheduled for:

  • 7:30 p.m Thursday, April 20 For one night only, nationally renowned author, playwright and storyteller Kevin Kling joins Wastebasket Revue  
  • 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21  
  • 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22 
  • 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 23  
  • 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27
  • 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28  
  • 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (65 and older), and $6 for students.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

For the past 50 years, more than $1.150 million has been raised and 820 scholarships awarded, according to the Wastebasket Revue website. 

The annual event features current and retired Osseo School District staff along with community members, volunteering their time and talents to create an original music variety show. The funds raised during the productions are used to award scholarships to seniors pursuing post-secondary education.
