Camping, Parking Lot Fight, Theft: Maple Grove Police Incident Report

The following synopsis of incidents occurred in Maple Grove April 9-15, 2017, as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department

April 9

12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of intoxicated person harassing customers, refusing to leave business. Officers made contact with individual still refusing to cooperate. Individual arrested for disorderly, obstructing and trespassed.   

8000 block of County Road 101. Report of tent in woods and two teens nearby, officers made contact with teens, who just took the tent down.  Officers had them pick up garbage in area and stated they could not camp in city park. 

13000 block of 76th Avenue. Report of unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight had been gone through, nothing taken. No suspects. 

April 10

8400 block of Arrowwood Lane. Report of neighbor’s garage open at midnight, officers made contact with residents who thanked officers and shut garage. Nothing missing. 

12000 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of party taking several items, concealing them, and running out of business. Officers following up on suspect. 

92nd Avenue and Dunkirk Lane. Report of person wearing shorts, tank top and no shoes walking. The weather temperature was 32 degrees and snowing; officers did not locate party. 

13000 block of Grove Drive. While on routine patrol, officer conducted traffic stop on vehicle with expired tabs, occupants arrested for drugs and other driving offenses.  

April 11

98th Avenue and Zachary Lane. While on routine patrol officer observed vehicle go through stop sign and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle; the driver arrested for DWI. 

9300 block of Minnesota Lane. Owner heard noise in driveway, observed their vehicle leaving the area. Discovered lock punched on vehicle and items stolen. Additional officers stopped vehicle in the area.  Individuals arrested for numerous charges. 

10000 block of Kilmer Lane. Report of vehicle stolen out of driveway during the evening hours, on the same day officer’s located vehicle at park in area.  No damage, no suspects. 

16000 block of County Road 30. Report of person inside vehicle in business parking lot drinking alcohol, officers made contact, person arrested for DWI and drugs. 

13000 block of Weaver Lake Road. Report of individual taking item and concealing item, then left business without paying. Officer’s located individual at their residence, recovered the stolen property, person arrested for theft. 

April 12

9000 block of Rosewood Lane. Report of POD in driveway that was damaged.  No suspects and nothing stolen from POD. 

16000 block of 73rd Avenue. Report of two males at residence, one at end of driveway, the other near front door, they stated they were looking for a lost dog.  Officers arrived in the area and did not located males. 

7000 block of Main Street. Report of window smashed out of vehicle parked in business parking lot. Items stolen from inside of vehicle, no suspects. 

April 13

15000 block of Grove Circle. Report of individual taking item, concealing it in shopping bag and left business without paying for item.  Officers arrested individual for theft, item recovered and returned.

 7600 block of Nottingham Parkway. Report of young male going into open garage.  Approached by homeowner, male stated just looking at vehicle; resident did not want to pursue charges. 

10000 block of 104th Avenue. Report of someone yelling help in the park area.  Officers arrived and did not locate vehicles or persons in the area. 

April 14

Elm Creek Boulevard and Hemlock Lane. Report of vehicle hitting curb and taking down sign; officer found front license plate at scene. Vehicle located and citation issued for the damage. 

11000 block of 80th Avenue. Report of owner returning to parked vehicle with two suspects inside.  When confronted suspects got into a waiting vehicle, left the area. Officers learned several items stolen from vehicle. No suspects. 

7000 block of Wedgewood Way. Report of person having seizure, officers arrived provided oxygen. Paramedics transported individual to hospital. 

9400 block of Jefferson Highway. Report of occupied vehicle parked at closed business. Party feeding infant. Nothing suspicious. 

April 15

Elm Creek Boulevard and Main Street. While on routine patrol, officer stopped vehicle that made several traffic violations. Individual arrested for DWI. 

85th Avenue and Valley Forge. Officer observed individual in locked area of no trespassing posted. Officer made contact with party and cited for trespassing. 

8600 block of Pineview Lane. Report of parties fighting in parking lot, parties separated, one person charged with assault. 

During this time period there were 22 property damage traffic accidents and one property damage injury accident.
