Osseo Senior High Students Recognized for Artistic Excellence

Seventeen students from Osseo Senior High School were recognized by the Minnesota State High School League for their work and commitment to excellence in the arts as part of the 2017 Section 4AA and 5AA Visual Arts Festival which was held at the Perpich Center for the Arts.

Students submitted work in the photography, drawing, painting and ceramics categories. To receive an award, students needed to receive an excellent or superior award from the judges.

The following Osseo Senior High students received honors at the 2017 Section 4AA and 5AA Visual Arts Festival, according to OSH Art Teacher Daniel Prody:

  • Photography - Samantha Banwell (Excellent), Kelsi Hart (Excellent), Kevin Carlson (Excellent), Emily Steady (Excellent), Lexus Yang (Superior)
  • Ceramics - Jerrett Nestico (Superior and Judge's Choice), Tina Boe (Superior and Judge's Choice), Dylan Penny (Superior), Ben Gilbertson (Superior), Maddie Gorman (Excellent), Micah Beisner ( Excellent)
  • Jewelry - Braylin Ramseth (Superior), Brandi Shoenberg (Superior)
  • Drawing - Alliana Houfek (Excellent), Andrea Cotarno (Excellent), Taylor Oeltjenbruns (Excellent)
In addition, Tina Boe and Jerret Nestico received a judge’s choice award and will have their work exhibited at the MSHSL Statewide Show at the 
Perpich Art Center on May 31.
