Golfing and Geocaching at Maple Grove Days 2017

Maple Grove Days brings several events to the community, including golfing and geocaching. 


Youth ages 10-17 residing in Maple Grove or Osseo have the opportunity to participate in the Junior Golf Tournament on 8 a.m. Friday, July 14 at Three Rivers Eagle Lake Golf Course.

Space is limited, entry fee is $10. Winners in the 
longest putt, the longest drive, and closest to the pin categories will receive a medal. Pizza, refreshments and prizes will be given away following the golfing.
Participants can learn more about geocaching during an Introduction to Geocaching event. Geocaching is outdoor recreational activity. Players use a GPS or other mobile device to hide and seek containers called a cache. 

During the event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 10, participants will be taught geocaching basics learn the basics of geocaching and look for caches throughout Weaver Lake Nature Center (behind 
Weaver Lake Elementary).  Children must be accompanied by an adult.   

Organizers recommend participates wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. 

Introduction to geocaching is a free event, but preregistration is required. To preregister, visit the 
Maple Grove Days website here or stop by the Maple Grove Community Center. The deadline is July 10.
