Approximately 10 acres of land in Maple Grove has been purchased by Three Rivers Park District with the intent to be part of the future Rush Creek Regional Trail Corridor connecting two nearby park reserves - Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove and Crow-Hassan in Rogers.
Almost half of the funding to "purchase the property was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative‐Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR)," according to Three Rivers Park District. The other half was funded bond proceeds funded by Metropolitan Council bond proceeds as well as Three Rivers Park District.
Currently, the Rush Creek Regional Trail runs from Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove east to Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park in Brooklyn Park.
