At the Sept. 19 Maple Grove City Council meeting, Tim Bush was sworn in as Maple Grove's new fire chief.

The appointment follows the retirement of Scott Anderson after 40 years of serving the community.

Bush has been with the Maple Grove Fire Department since 2008 and his last position was Deputy Fire Chief of Operations overseeing Emergency Operations, Personnel, Training and the Fire Explorer Program, according to documents provided to the City Council.

“Chief Bush will oversee over 95 firefighters and 12 full-time staff in the fire department,” according to a post on the city of Maple Grove Facebook page.
