iPads Stolen, Identity Theft, Injured Deer: Maple Grove Police Department Incident Report

The following synopsis of incidents occurred in Maple Grove Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, 2017, as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department.

October 29

7900 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of suspects filling a shopping cart with items and leaving the store without paying. Incident is under investigation.

7200 block of Forestview Lane. Report of burglary two iPads were stolen. Incident is under investigation.

12700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of disruptive customers, attempting to obtain services without paying. Officer responded, individuals issued trespass notices.

8400 block of Underwood Lane. Report of unwanted, threatening text messages demanding money. Officer made contact, individual advised to block the number, as its most likely a scam.

October 30

15300 block of 75th Place. Report of injured deer in homeowner’s yard. Officer responded, deer ran off into the woods despite apparent broken leg, advised to call if the animal returns.

15800 block of Grove Circle. Report of multiple shoplifting incidents involving same suspect. Officer made contact, the incidents are under investigation.

9400 block of Kirkwood Way. Report of license plates stolen from vehicle; no suspects.

October 31

9900 block of Orleans Lane. Report of a drill, sunglasses, and loose change stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway overnight. No suspects.

6500 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Report of a check stolen from individual’s mailbox who was then notified by the bank that it had been used fraudulently in another jurisdiction.

9900 block of 65th Avenue. Report of two people dressed as clowns scaring children; officer responded, unable to locate suspects.

November 1

9800 block of Hospital Drive. Report of iPhone stolen from unlocked vehicle parked outside of business, no suspects.

8400 block of Revere Lane. Report of cellular telephone stolen from locker at place of employment. Incident is under investigation.

12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of individual unconscious but breathing. Officer responded and victim was alert, transferred to hospital for further care.

17500 block of 96th Avenue. Report of multiple people yelling. Officer responded a large group of people had been outside in a garage when an argument ensued; the parties were dispersing for the evening.

November 2

12500 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of group of people possibly throwing items at vehicles in parking lot of business. Officer made contact and found the individuals were playing with a bouncy ball and no damage had occurred.

9300 block of Chesshire Lane. Report of individual in pain.Officer made contact and party was transported to hospital by ambulance for further care.

15300 block of Grove Circle. Report of employee theft. Officer responded and individual arrested for theft - all merchandise returned to the store.

9800 block of Arrowwood Lane. Report of domestic incident. Officer made contact and found one of the parties had left the residence and it was verbal only.

November 3

9500 block of Union Terrace Lane. Report of individual with possible heart attack. Officer responded and stood by until ambulance arrived to transport the individual to the hospital.

9500 block of Upland Lane. Report of possibly intoxicated individual in parking lot of business. Officer made contact and found the party had stumbled while walking to vehicle due to pain and had come to business to get relief. No further assistance needed.

13700 block of Grove Drive. Report of individuals taking merchandise from business without paying and left in vehicle. Officer responded, incident is under investigation.

County Road 30 and Zircon Lane. Report of vehicle with no lights on occupying median that had struck a street sign. Officer responded, driver arrested for DWI.

November 4

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of unruly, threatening customer inside business. Officer responded, suspect arrested for outstanding warrants, false information to police, disorderly conduct, and trespassed from business.

9900 block of Urbandale Lane. Report of credit card opened and fraudulent purchase made. Officer made contact and advised follow-up with bank.

12500 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of backpack and contents stolen from vehicle while parked outside, window was broken to gain access. No suspect information.

During this time period, there were 28 property damage traffic accidents and six property damage injury traffic accidents.
