Osseo Area Schools Students Earn AP Scholar Recognition

For 10 years, ISD 279 - Osseo Area Schools had a record number of students earn AP Scholar recognition from the College Board, based on Advanced Placement (AP) exams taken during the 2016-17 school year, according to a press release from ISD 279.
Among those earning honors included Maple Grove Senior High (class of 2017) students Allan Khankari, Kevin Nguyen, Alyssa Risch and Sikai Yang and Osseo Senior High (class of 2017) student Jack Ewing earned the National AP Scholar designation.
“The National AP Scholar award is the highest AP honor and is granted only to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams,” according to a press release from ISD 279.
Combined between Maple Grove, Osseo, and Park Center, the following was achieved:
103 AP Scholars (students earning a score of three or more on three or more AP exams)
38 AP Scholars with Honor (students earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on four or more AP exams)
41 AP Scholars with Distinction (students earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of three or higher on five or more AP exams).
