Former Maple Grove Standout Wieneke to Play in East-West Shrine Game

Former Maple Grove Senior High Crimson wide receiver Jake Wieneke, who played college football at South Dakota State, has accepted an invitation to play in the 93rd East-West Shrine Game. The game will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL on Jan. 20, 2018 beginning at 2 p.m.

Wieneke joins an elite list of football players such as Tom Brady, John Elway, Brett Favre and 74 NFL Hall of Fame players who have played in the East-West Shrine Game. Currently, 265 East-West Shrine Game alumni are on NFL rosters.

The game will be broadcast live on NFL Network and the East-West Shrine Game Radio Network.

Earlier this fall, Wieneke was awarded the 
Good Works award from All State.
