Burglary, Playing Pokémon, Harassment: Maple Grove Police Department Incident Report

The following synopsis of incidents occurred in Maple Grove Dec. 17-23, 2017 as provided by the Maple Grove Police Department. Additional details for burglaries, robbery, arson, and theft can be found on the city website crime mapping section.
9600 block of Grove Circle. Disruptive party in room, reporting party requested assistance with eviction. Officer responded and the individuals left without incident.
9000 block of Zanzibar Lane. Report of driver’s side window broken on vehicle and wallet stolen; fraudulent activity conducted with stolen cards.
7800 block of Berkshire Lane. Report of package stolen from residence, no suspect.
11700 block of 95th Avenue. Report of multiple tools stolen from unlocked vehicle, no suspect information.
15400 block of 101st Avenue. Report of threats called into business by former customer. Employee requested extra patrol, officer advised to call 911 immediately if individual returns.
12600 block of County Road 10. Request by other police department in locating theft suspect. Officers responded to aid in the search. Contact made with the suspect by local jurisdiction, no further assistance needed.
12600 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of welfare check. Officers responded and found extremely intoxicated person slumped behind the wheel of vehicle. North ambulance transported individual to hospital.
8000 block of Wedgewood Lane. Report of money stolen from unlocked parked vehicle.
7700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of person sleeping in vestibule of business. Officer made contact, individual dozed off while waiting for a ride following an appointment. No assistance needed.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane. Report of computer monitor stolen from store. Case being investigated.
6300 block of Wedgwood Road. Report of cell phone stolen from unlocked parked vehicle. Incident is under investigation.
17600 block of 96th Place. Report of pallet containing insulation stolen from garage at construction site, no suspect.
7700 block of Ranier Lane. Report of suspicious person entering a house through the garage. Officer contacted homeowner who stated it was their son and there were no problems.
12000 block of 90th Avenue. Report of domestic. Officer responded and found it was verbal only, one of the individuals was slightly impaired and the couple agreed to discuss matters in the morning.
8300 block of Niagara Lane. Report of injured deer lying in yard of residence. Officer responded and located the animal that appeared to be uninjured as it ran away.
12300 block of Timber Lane. Report of male wearing a teddy bear hood taking pictures of homes. Officer was unable to locate the person. In follow-up with the reporting party, they had contacted the individual who was playing Pokémon.
11300 block of Fountains Drive. Report of approximately $8,000 worth of merchandise stolen from retail store, suspects fled in vehicle.
6200 block of Hemlock Lane. Report of individual making harassing comments and posting negative remarks on social media about employee at place of business due to personal situation. Officer contacted suspect, advised possible criminal charges would be pursued if actions continued.
I-94 and Weaver Lake Road. Report of traffic complaint. Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle, which had been weaving back and forth between lanes. The individual was arrested for DWI.
12200 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of fight at place of business. Officer responded and found there had been a verbal altercation and the aggressor had left. Trespass notice was issued upon request by manager and individual was notified.
9600 block of Grove Circle. Report of passports stolen overnight from unlocked vehicle parked outside.
7500 block of Inland Lane. Report of Christmas decorations stolen overnight from front yard, no suspect information.
12700 block of Elm Creek Boulevard. Report of purse stolen and fraudulent credit card activity, no suspect information.
85th Avenue and Highway 169. Report of traffic complaint of vehicle swerving in between lanes and traveling at a high rate of speed. Officer contacted the driver who was arrested for DWI, careless driving, and driving after revocation.
During this time period there were 50 property damage traffic accidents and four property damage injury traffic accidents.
